The MN China Friendship Garden Society welcomes visitors to the China Friendship Garden at Phalen Park, a 1.2 acre site currently consisting of the Xiang Jiang Pavilion (completed in 2018-2019), Hmong Heritage Wall (completed in 2018), and the West Entrance Archway (completed in 2019). The China Friendship Garden is a sister city collaboration initiated by the MN China Friendship Garden Society, the City of St. Paul Department of Parks and Recreation, Payne Phalen Community Council, with the City of Changsha (Hunan Province, China), the Changsha People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and the Changsha Yanghu Wetland Park (Phalen Park's sister park) in China.

The MN China Friendship Garden Society is seeking donations for its 2021 New Year Matching Gift Challenge to help fund the next phase of building the Friendship Garden. All donations will be matched by the society's founders, board, and advisors up to $76,850. For more information, please visit the MN China Friendship Garden Society's website or the City of St. Paul's project page.
